Hotkeys for ipod automatic updating
TUTORIAL: Stopping your Home Pod from installing new software automatically You can, of course, still check for updates manually in Settings or schedule a new i OS software update to install overnight.
When new i OS software is available to download, you’ll see a notification on your Lock screen and a badge on the Settings app icon, just like before.
While the on-screen keyboard is visible, press and hold the keyboard icon in the lower right and choose the Tip #10: Here’s another useful but undocumented keyboard trick that will help you quickly switch between numerical (123) and alphabetical (ABC) keyboards on your i OS device. 123 key, slide the finger to reach the “@” key and then lift the finger up to release the key.
The option is off by default, here’s how to enable it:1) Open the Settings app on your i Phone or i Pad with i OS 12 or newer.2) Tap General.3) Tap Software Update.4) Tap Automatic Updates.5) Slide the switch labeled Automatic Updates to the ON position.
When this option has been enabled, you should see a confirmation message on the previous screen saying the device will automatically install i OS software updates.
For instance, if you need to type “doesn’t”, just forget the apostrophe and quickly type “doesnt” – the keyboard will automatically insert the apostrophe at the appropriate place.
You can also press and hold the comma key to get the apostrophe without switching to the numeric keyboard. 123) on your i OS device shows the dollar ($) symbol by default.
